Get to Know Timothy Sanders

In this month’s Llegar a saber feature, we’re excited to introduce you to Timoteo Sanders an attorney at Cappy Law.

Tim was born and raised in Marysville, Michigan, where he graduated third in his class at Marysville High School in 1996. He attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, majoring in political science. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University – Detroit College of Law in 2003, graduating in the top 25% of his class.

What is your favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant is On Swann in Hyde Park Village. They serve brunch, lunch, and dinner and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal there. I highly recommend it. 

¿Cuál es tu actividad favorita del fin de semana?

On the weekends I like to take advantage of the beautiful weather in Tampa, so you can find me outside relaxing.  

¿Cuánto tiempo lleva trabajando en Cappy Law?

I’ve been with the Law Offices of Ryan Cappy for two and a half years.

¿Qué es lo mejor de trabajar en Cappy Law?

There’s a lot to love about working at Cappy Law, but if I had to choose, it’s the positive work environment and the teamwork. We all support and encourage one another and it makes coming to work enjoyable and motivating. 

¿Por qué te gusta trabajar en lesiones personales?

I enjoy it for two reasons. Most importantly, I like helping people. Secondly, I don’t like the business models of large insurance companies. So having the opportunity to push back on those companies and give people the justice and compensation they deserve is fulfilling. 

Did you always know you wanted to be a lawyer? When did you know that going into law was the right career choice?

My interest in the profession started as a child. My uncle was a lawyer and I can remember early on thinking how exciting the career must be.
